Emphasizing on upwind ability the RB line is built in super light but durable materials in stress areas. The Strip Draft Locker (SDL) allow us to decrease the amount of battens currently used in traditional raceboard sails, and the result is a balanced and super responsive foil, easy to tack and allowing powerful rig movements in all conditions.

 Kick off the summer holidays with an adventure filled weekend on Eastbourne seafront at the south coast's coolest, fastest and most intense free sports festival. Featuring a huge line up of air, land and water based outdoor pursuits.

Extreme runs for two days during July at the eastern end of Eastbourne's five mile seafront and welcomes around 30,000 visitors, with something to keep everyone amused. Eastbourne Extreme blends inline and artistic skating with waterborne activities, bringing a rush of adrenaline to the south coast. Extreme also features live music, events on the Extreme stage, plus shops, food stalls and children's rides

For the windsurfers this year will be not one, but two 'Extreme One-hour Classic' races, one on each day and for the rest of the day there will be a series of fun 'masterblaster' and relay races for allcomers.

Running alongside the windsurfing will also a Stand-Up Paddleboard competition, and a few competitive windsurfers will no doubt be invited to challenge these seasoned SUPer's.

Please note that to ensure safety boat cover for the one-hour classic, pre-entry is requested. We will as ever look to accomodate people rocking up on the day, but please don't bank on there being sufficient cover if you chose this option. Entry fee is set at £10, and this fee goes to Spray Watersports who will provide the safety cover on the water. Any funds raised over and above the costs of this cover will contribute towards their fund raising efforts to provide kit for the kids as part of their Team16+ initiative.

The event is a not for profit event, being put on for the local windsurfers to get together and showcase the sport while having a good time. Be there ....

This second generation of the Silver line has been given a lot of attention, with several improvements added; lighter and softer, they have gained in all areas.

The new outline inherited from the Gold line provides amazing acceleration and great potential on the reach and downwind legs. Main goal of the cut away is to allow the sail to release better at the lower section, giving a lighter feel at the back.

EDGE 12'6
Long distance race

The EDGE 12’6 is offered as either an ASA or Carbon version, and meets the criteria for the current 12’6 racing class, with the Carbon version being amongst the lightest boards currently available on the market.

The EDGE 12’6 SUP board enjoys superb glide and has demonstrated an unparalleled ease of propulsion while offering a very stable platform for the rider. Achieving the excellent speeds on this racing paddle board is also a pretty amazing feeling! The volume distribution is forward focused and the displacement efficiency increased to offer the purest movement through the water. The efficient hull shape also provides the board with excellent handling characteristics in choppy conditions, and ensures that the rider is not thrown forwards as the rails go through choppy waters.

Supported by Fanatic & K66 Surf, with UK top 10 SUP competitor Jay 'JSUP' Manning, Eastbourne Extreme will see some of the UK's best SUP racers competing in a series of short sharp sprint SUP races, as well as offering tips and advice to encourage anyone and everyone to try SUP for themselves. There will be demo boards available, so make the most of the opportunity.

The plan is to run the SUP racing on the Saturday, and follow it with a BBQ and some rehydration. The SUP racing will include sprint racing for the crowds to get involved with and to see some close quarter SUP racing. There will also be a long distance / enduarance race, and this could tie in with the Extreme One Hour Classic with SUP racers pitting their paddle against the windsurfers. The results would be treated as seperate fleets, but this could add to the challenge?

Taster sessions, demo's and tuition should also be consider as being a very big part of the SUP event, and this element is FREE to allcomers wanting to have a go, just be ready to get wet (ie - dress appropriately). Jay has a top Naish SUP Team rider and SUP coach Jock Patterson (ex-longboard champ & BSUPA SUP Instructor) lined up to look after this side of things ... more details as we get them, but I expect to see some novice racing happening over the weekend too. .... Doubt it'll be of interest, but there will be live bands playing throughout the weekend and there is a bar set up on the beach for vital rehydration needs.
