the BUS joins the Exo Warriors

Surfkraft are pleased to welcome Lea to the team for 2012.

Following Lea's efforts in 2011 to raise funds for charity with his 1000 mile challenge, his Speedsurfing promotional work, and numerous conversations, an idea was hatched for some real world long term testing of recreational flat water blasting kit that Lea would undertake along with feedback from members of his merry band of Portland Pirates. The timing of this coincided with Krafty snapping his Achilles tendon, a pretty long term hindrance to testing and riding his own kit ...... So rather than just look at the kit doing nothing, it was packed up and collected by Lea ..... Starting the ball rolling.

Good news all round, Lea and the Pirates loved the kit. Krafty was impressed with not only the quality of the reviews, and the whole presentation, but also with the attention to detail and genuine enthusiasm that came across with the reviews. Originally the plan was for Lea to set himself up to test various brands equipment in this manner, so the kit was duly returned when the tests were completed. It wasn't very long before Lea was missing the kit, and he very quickly contacted Black Project Fins for a quiver of his own fins having fallen in love with Krafty's loan fin quiver.

Lea has once again set himself some goals for 2012, including Speedsurfing and BSA Slalom action, and to achieve these goals he felt that having his own quiver of Exocet boards to tune and train on would be the most beneficial option. Surfkraft were of course pleased that the tester was indeed so impressed with the boards that he wanted to ride them for 2012 and beyond, and Krafty was quick to take the opportunity to help Lea with this, taking a trip to Weymouth and using the Olympic venue as a rehab friendly spot to test out both his repairing Achilles and the 2012 SCross126. Both tested out okay, while Lea set to work getting up to speed on the RS4. Lea will be using the Exocet boards with Black Project Fins and relying on one of Krafty's original sail sponsors, Hot Sails Maui, for the power source via their new GPS range.
