This years National Windsurfing Festival will be held at Beachlands, Hayling Island on 4-5th Sept 2010. | BSA Junior Turbo 15 at National Windsurf Festival! In association with JP/NeilPryde Young Guns This year?s National Windsurfing Festival is looking like being one of the best yet, building on the success of previous years and continuing to grow and draw support from across the UK?s windsurfing communities and enthusiasts! This year The BSA (British Slalom Association) are pleased to announce that they will be supporting the Festival with a new junior element called Junior Turbo 15. The RYA?s long established and successful Team15 programme has brought 1000?s of youngsters to windsurfing over the years and continues to feed the sport?s various disciplines with world class competitors, now the BSA are bringing this junior element to the Festival with a master blaster fleet for 15 year olds and younger, based on similar class rules as Team15 the Turbo 15 section will feature such classes as 3.5m, 4.5m, 5.8m and techno 6.8m fleets racing together off the world famous Hayling Island Beach in front of the gathered masses and spectators- a natural theatre of dreams! Chris Lewis, of Pryde Group UK and Team 15 South Zone CO, will be running the racing not under the usual banner of RYA Team15 but with support from all the attendant BSA brands at the festival. Featuring races with pro sailors, superb prizes, team challenges and the famous ?dusk dash? a great support act for the youngsters ahead of the event?s featured night race! Chris commented ?We are super happy and excited to bring a junior element to this long established Festival, the kids will have a great time entertained and coached by the pro sailors while enjoying some fun, exciting and safe racing off the beach!? LATEST NEWS - New Team 15 Club in SE Region 2XS have announced their renewed involvement in Team 15, with a team down at their Club at West Wittering. We will look forward to them hosting events over the coming seasons, and with 6 clubs we expect increased numbers as well as increased competition at the events, and equally to host the events. Official release : Just to let you know that we have a new T15 club in the South East Zone: 2XS Rippers @ X-Train/West Wittering Windsurfing Club.Information about their club set up will be put on the T15 website in the near future: http://www.rya.org.uk/programmes/team15/findateam15club/Pages/t15southeastzoneclubs.aspx The Rippers used to be a T15 club in the early days of Team15 in the South Zone, but dropped out. They are back with a renewed enthusiasm, with their Team15 club seen as a development for their OnBoard kids – and they have changed zone in an attempt to hopefully make it to the inter-club events this time around. They are now in the South East T15 Zone. |

Meg spends time at school doing stuff like this and then at the weekend she gets out on the water and comes 5th overall in the 3.5m fleet racing at the Team 15 windsurfing event at Spray Watersports, doing well enough to win the prestigious Techno Award for the fleet..
